TBTI member Ben Belton has just recently published a new paper "Shrimp, prawn and the political economy of social wellbeing in rural Bangladesh" in the Journal of Rural Studies. This publication focuses on the use of a social wellbeing framework to better understand the effects of agrarian change that has been experienced by two villages in rural Southwest Bangladesh. Additionally, Belton demonstrates the theoretical, methodological, and analytical utility of integrating social wellbeing and political economy of agrarian change perspectives in the study of rural development.
