Postdoctoral Fellowship: Small-Scale Fisheries Knowledge Synthesis

TBTI is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow who will be based in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, at Memorial University (St. John’s, NL, Canada). The successful candidate will be responsible for knowledge integration and synthesis, as well as developing and implementing knowledge mobilization and communication strategies for the project.

We seek a highly motivated person with an interdisciplinary background and trainings. Candidate must have a broad perspective of the current issues in small-scale fisheries within different geographical contexts. Candidate should be able to grasp and synthesize large amount of data, both qualitative and quantitative. The successful candidate must possess outstanding written, digital and verbal communication skills and be able to translate complex ideas into accessible concepts and language, tailored to different audiences.

The application deadline is October 31, 2015. The successful candidate will receive a one-year fellowship of about CAD 40,000 (inclusive of benefits), with a possibility of renewal for another year.
