FAO Fellowship Programme

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is looking to fill a Fellow position as part of their Fellowship Programme:

The Fellowship Programme is designed to attract fellows, typically Ph.D. students, researchers, and professors, who have an advanced level of relevant technical knowledge and experience in any field of the Organization. The candidates should be willing to fulfill their specialized learning objectives and at the same time, contribute their technical expertise and knowledge through time-bound arrangements with FAO.

Some of the requirements include holding a graduate or post-graduate degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) or be enrolled in a Ph.D. programme, working knowledge of at least one FAO official languages, be a national of FAO Member Nations. FAO is also looking for candidates that are able to adapt to an international multicultural environment, have good communication skills and be knowledgeable in the use of basic computer programmes.

Candidates are required to attach a research proposal. FAO highly encourages proposals on small-scale fisheries and the SSF Guidelines implementation.
