The Mare policy day “Giving Small-Scale Fisheries a Place: The Knowledge and Governance Challenges”, June 25, 2013, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, has attracted over 140 participants with a diverse mix of stakeholders from academia, fisheries, civil society organisations, NGOs and policy, reflecting the growing recognition of the need to take small-scale fisheries issues seriously.
