Brennan Lowery, an interdisciplinary PhD student with TBTI has recently released his sustainability report card for the region of Clarenville, Bonavista, and Isthmus. The purpose of the sustainability report card is to look into the well-being of a community or region based on a common vision for the future. This report card was specifically made with the intentions of leading towards strategic planning and collaboration across these communities.
Brennan's report examines the following 5 sustainability priority areas of the region:
- Meeting basic needs, tackling poverty, and promoting equity
- Sense of place, physical and cultural identity
- Intergenerational equity
- Governance and participation
- Integrating environmental, social, and economic factors
