Over 30 percent of the total world’s fisheries catch each year come from inland SSF. Despite their importance to global food security and balanced nutritional health, and regional economy, there has been inadequate public attention and lack of political commitment to foster conservation and effective management of this sector. What threatens sustainability of inland SSF? How are they affected by dam, pollution and other sectors? What can be done to improve governance of inland SSF? These are some of the questions that will be discussed at this webinar.
